El-Rufai calls President Jonathan lazy, docile, hopeless, useless

I'm not particularly a fan of President Jonathan and this government but c'mon Mallam El Rufai, that name calling is too harsh and uncalled for. Well, that's what I think, you're free to agree with him. Presidential aide Reno Omokri already replied...

REVEALED!! Why Wizkid And P-Square Lost MTV EMA ‘Best African Act’ to South Africans!

Forget that Wizkid and P-Square pack venues when they perform in and outside of Nigeria, professionalism now determines who wins what on the international music stage.
Unless Nigerian musicians want to continue to deceive themselves, popularity as a determinant of success in the music industry no longer cuts it as the South African group, LCNVL. that beat the Nigerians is nowhere near the duo when it comes to acceptance.
Popularity, however, didnt sway the regional voters for the MTV EMA slot as Wizkid and P-Square were beaten to the final slot of the Best African Act by LCNVL  a few days ago.
A member of the Grammy Award nomination committee in United States told R in a phone conversation few hours after the loss that sentiment does not work when it comes to selecting artistes for the MTV EMA. This group, from management to PR level,  he said, is very professional and  thorough. In Nigeria, the world has seen the quality of artistes that are there, but there are many things that are not in place and it is working against our artistes.
He said that just last year,  members of one of the group that lost out in the MTV EMA stunned an American promoter who had relied on their popularity to list them on a three-month show in US when  he asked for the contact of their sound engineer, only to be told that they used disk jockeys when they perform.
Believing that they were being novel, he allowed them on the show for them to shock the promoter when they got on stage and started miming to their songs. Of course that was the only show the guy allowed them to perform at in Maryland, Washington Again, there is no adequate record of sales to back up the bogus claims that Nigerian artistes make on social media, and even in the print and electronic media.
A lot needs  to be done in the industry because we have talented musicians in Nigeria. Nigeria, in fact, is the only reason that the whole world has taken a liking to African music, but we are gradually losing that hold. Smaller countries will begin to outshine us because they do things like professionals, unlike us,  he said.
The South African duo were voted the Best African Act for the 2013 MTV EMA ahead of Wizkid and P Square early this week.
LCNVL will now move on to the next phase of voting to try to secure a spot to represent the region in the Worldwide Act category in  Amsterdam.
LCNVL has been South Africas most successful pop act of the past five years, selling over 100,000 albums, winning the SAMAs for Best Selling Album and Best Newcomer, and touring the world, playing alongside the likes of Justin Bieber, Taio Cruz, Mike  Poser and Jason Derulo.
Such provable information worked in LCNVLs favour, unlike our own guys who claim they had sold millions of CDs in just one, two years, added the American Rs source.
Bruce Gillmer, Executive Vice President of Talent and Music Programming/Events, later said the MTV EMA highlights the biggest and best international and regional superstars and were really looking forward to celebrating all of the incredible talent in Amsterdam.

PHOTO: Man Wins $100,000 In Implant Bet, Keeps Breasts For 17 Years!

Brian Zembic with his now ex-wife
United States - In 1996, Brian Zembic, a gambler and magician who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, got breast implants after his friend him $100,000 he couldn't keep them in for a year. The bet was over sixteen years ago, however, there's the added bonus that Zembic gets $10,000 for every year that he keeps his 'man-breasts' in.
Zembic says he's grown to love his new parts so much that he refuses to remove them.
"It's a normal part of my life," he adds, "It really is, as sick as it is, it's normal."
Getting the implants has made Mr Zembic sensitive to the problems they pose to women - such as finding the right sports bra for the perfect amount of support. He's also afraid about how age will eventually impact his breasts - and what his body would look like if he ever took the implants out.
His breasts obviously cause a bit a confusion in the romantic department, but not confusing enough that he hasn't been able to procreate: Zembic has a 13-year-old daughter and she praises her dad for bringing in the money by following through on his bet.
"It gets the bills paid," his daughter says. "It's a little weird obviously, but I guess you could say now he's like my mom and my dad."
Watch a clip from several years ago to see how Zembic looks like and hear his explanation for the unusual choice.

ASUU Seeks Watertight Deal From FG

Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities have given the Federal Government certain conditions to be met before the union could call off its four-month old strike.

photo
Part of this condition, Saturday PUNCH learnt, is that all federal parastatals in charge of fund, labour, and education must sign the agreement purportedly reached between its leadership and the Federal Government on Tuesday.
A prominent member of the union, who craved anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on behalf of the union, told Saturday PUNCH that doing this would give the association the confidence that “the Federal Government knows what it is doing when it signed the agreement.”
He said, “I must tell you that our mandate remains. The only mandate we have is that 2009 agreement must be met. We have not reached any agreement with the Federal Government.
“Since the Federal Government  wants to be releasing N220bn every year for five years, then all monetary and regulatory agencies must sign. The  Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministries of Finance and Labour, National Assembly, Office of the Presidency, National Universities Commission, Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Trade Union Congress and our umbrella body, the Nigeria Labour Congress, must sign with consequences stated.
“The reason we will ensure this is that we don’t want argument tomorrow that the agreement was entered in error or that they don’t know the implication of signing the agreement. If possible, documents that will provide for automatic deduction of the agreed money at a particular/agreed date must be provided.”
The leadership of the union had engaged in a 13-hour marathon meeting with  government delegation  led by President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja between Monday and Tuesday.
Though it was generally perceived that both ASUU and the Federal Government  achieved breakthrough in negotiation for the first time after the lengthy meeting with the President, Saturday PUNCH learnt that the lecturers might not be  in a hurry to go back to class.
Another  source close to ASUU who was also part of the marathon meeting  with the President in Abuja, said there was nothing new in what the President promised members of the union.
According to him, government had always failed in implementing agreements reached with ASUU. He said, “Truly the President sat down for more than 13 hours with us. He told us that we were not leaving the venue until the issues were resolved.  The Federal Government also promised to inject funds into the system, but a promissory note is not enough.
“Where would the money come from? There  is no assurance that government will provide money especially with the mop-up policy in place that ensures that unspent money is refunded to government’s coffers at the end of every year.’’
Asked when the lecturers would call off the strike, he said, “I doubt if the strike is ending soon.  The problem is with the Finance Minister. Where is government getting N1trn  from? A government that could not implement agreement between 2009 and 2013, what is the guarantee that they would honour this agreement.
“It is all politics.  We are still awaiting directives from our branches. We have told them the outcome of the meeting with the President but we are waiting for them to tell us what they think of government’s proposal.
“Imagine the Minister of Education has travelled out of the country. He was appointed Vice President for UNESCO General Assembly.  How can he travel out of the country without resolving the crisis in the education sector?’’
He said the Federal Government should spend the trillions of dollars in its Sovereign Wealth Fund to finance university education and improve infrastructure in the country.
A key component of the agreement reached by both ASUU and the Federal Government was that government would inject N1.1trn into public universities in the next five years. Government is expected to inject N220bn yearly into the public university sector beginning from 2014.  But government said it could only release N100bn this year, noting that the amount had already been processed.
The Federal Government also indicated that the N1.1trn would be domiciled at the Central Bank of Nigeria to show its commitment to the agreement. The money is expected to be released on quarterly basis to the universities so that there won’t be any problem about funding the deal.
The National Universities Commission and the Trade Union Congress will be the joint guarantors of the agreement while the Minister of Education will be the implementing officer. Government, according to sources at the meeting, also agreed to revamp public universities by ensuring that all the issues that always lead to strike are dealt with once and for all.
Asked to confirm if lecturers were planning to call off their strike, ASUU Chairman, University of Calabar branch, Dr. James Okpiliya, said the local chapter was yet to get formal briefing on the meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan.
He, however, said the union would make its position known to the press on the President’s offer after the end of a meeting scheduled for mid-night Thursday.
Also, Chairman of ASUU in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Adegbola Akinola, said that members must be properly briefed on the resolution between the Federal Government and representatives of ASUU in the last marathon meeting.
He said the only condition that could make its members accept any offer would be the provision of necessary documents.
He said, “The NEC meeting may not hold now. It is the local congress that is expected to hold first which is either tomorrow or Monday.
“Our members are not yet briefed about the details, so it is when we meet that we will know the details and then discuss whether what we got is sufficient enough to justify our action or demand.
“I can’t really pre-empt the mind of other members. But if we are to accept any offer, there must be document to back that up. We need to obtain documents on that. Maybe if there is a document, people may look at it critically.”
However, the Federal Government said it would include the N1.1trn promised ASUU in the education budget starting from next year. It also said it was waiting for the union to know the next step to take.
The Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Olu Lipide, told one of our correspondents on Thursday that government was waiting for ASUU to take the necessary steps.
Meanwhile, the Dean of Social Sciences, University of Lagos, Prof. Omololu Soyombo, has said that the general ASUU body must agree before the strike could be called off.
He said, “It is difficult to believe the President but we give him the benefit of doubt. We believe that the President is noble, the ASUU president promised to give him a feedback. If this had been done earlier, the strike wouldn’t have extended for so long.”
Corroborating his view, the Chairman, Lagos State University, ASUU, Dr. Jamiu Oluwatoki said, “It won’t be long again. By next week there should be a NEC meeting and subsequently the congress meetings before the president can call off the strike.”

MONSTER MOTHER: Woman Sells Her Baby In Airport Toilet (Video)

A mother was arrested in Turkey for allegedly trying to sell her baby to a couple in a toilet at an airport.

MONSTER MOTHER: Woman Sells Her Baby In Airport Toilet (Video)
The 22-year-old, identified as only Dinara A, was spotted arriving in a taxi at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport with her mother and the child in a carrycot.
Turkish police have released CCTV showing how she then apparently arranged to meet up with buyers of her infant.
After she stepped out of the cab she can be seen taking a glance at her baby in one hand and then speaking on her mobile phone in the other hand.
The security footage then shows the buyers walking around the airport, the woman with a handbag and then man with a red suitcase heading to meet her.
Another camera captures the moment when Dinara A enters a public toilet with the baby, followed by the other woman.
The mum is then seen leaving empty-handed in the corridor and the other woman emerges from the facility with the baby.
Police later revealed the woman agreed to hand over the child to the Turkish-born German couple during the incident in September in exchange for $500.
But the sale did not go to plan as shortly afterwards the German woman realised she could not get the baby through passport control so she took it back to the toilet.
She later called police claiming she had found the baby in the toilet.
Suspicious airport officials discovered the transaction after watching security camera footage, which had captured the entire incident.
Police returned the four-month-old infant to her mother, who was caught at the airport.
The German woman reportedly denied charges of attempting to purchase a baby, claiming that he had only wanted to help the mum by lending her some money so that she could look after her baby.
But she was released after giving evidence about the plan. Dinara A, an illegal immigrant from Turkmenistan, and her baby, and mother were later deported from Turkey.

11-Yr-Old Girl Killed By Fallen Electric Cable

An 11-year old pupil of Ogundimu Primary School, Iju-Ishaga, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, Chioma Nwaonumah has been electrocuted on her way from school.

11-Yr-Old Girl Killed By Fallen Electric CableThe incident happened on Kayode Street. The victim was rushed to Pacific Hospital where doctors confirmed her dead on arrival and her sorpse was taken to the mortuary for autopsy.
The primary four pupil was living with her aunt and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Biachi, before the tragedy occurred.
According to an eye witness, Chioma was coming back from school in company of her friends along the street and was about to fall when she held a pole bearing the street name, not knowing that live electric cable the youths of the area used for electrification during the last carnival had fallen on the pole and as soon as she held onto the pole she was electrocuted.
Mr. Biachi, who was distraught when the reporter called at his residence at 17, Adelaku Street, Obawole, on Thursday, said Chioma was loved by everybody.
Teachers and pupils of Ogundimu Primary School besieged his residence on Wednesday to condole the family on the tragic incident.
Biachi declined to speak further on the incident as sympathisers continued to troop to his residence.
Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government also sent some officials to commiserate with the family of the girl.
While reacting to the incident, the former Chairman of Ifeoluwa Ogundimu Community Development Association, Pa Michael Ojo, said it was an avoidable tragedy, adding that the poor state of the street is of serious concern to residents of the community.
He said contract for the reconstruction of the street and the drainage system was awarded some years back but the job was abandoned half way and now the street is worse than before the contract was awarded.
Ojo said all efforts to make the contractor complete the job have proved abortive as the engineer continues to tell the community that he would finish the job without matching his promise with any action.
He decried the action of the contractor, saying the community has suffered untold hardship as a result of the bad condition of the street which is no longer motorable.
Also speaking on the development, Pastor Ogunkoya Olarewaju said the community had sent people to Ifako-Ijaiye Local Governmen to request that the work is completed to avoid the kind of tragedy that had just happened.

Scarlet Johansson Explains Why Porn Is Good For Women!

Scarlett Johansson has spoken in favour of women enjoying porn, claiming it can be "productive for both men and women".
Speaking ahead of her latest film, Don Jon, about a porn-obsessive, Johansson said she would be "flabbergasted" to discover her boyfriend was addicted to porn, but did not think it was bad thing.
She told Marie Claire: "I'm sure I should have some very well-developed view on [porn's] effect on society, the ethics behind it and how it affects the kind of relationship between men and women and how it objectifies women. But I don't really think about it."
She added she thought porn might help both partners be less self-conscious about sex and satisfy some curiosity: "I think porn, like anything else, can be enjoyed. It can be productive for both men and women."
The film, which sees Johansson play the love interest to Joesph Gordon-Levitt's porn-obsessive character, is one of the latest movies to explore sex obsession and the porn industry, following this year's Lovelace, and 2011's Shame.
Speaking about her attitude towards porn, Amanda Seyfried, who starred in Lovelace as renown porn star Linda Lovelace, said she thought women "should be free to watch it and make it".
She said: "I think there' still are a lot of people being objectified, a lot of people involved who don't want to be. But there's a lot of porn being made for women, written by women.
"It's great, it' self expression, people should be free to watch it and make it it's just how it's depicted.
"Sex shouldn't be depicted as something that's so terrifying. And the access to it is scary and there are a lot of fetishes, but each to his own. I can't judge porn."
Don Jon is released in cinemas on Friday 15 November.

DNA Results For 12 Plane Crash Victims Released!!

The results of the DNA tests conducted on the 12 burnt bodies of the Associated Airline crash victims are now ready.
Fifteen people died on Thursday when the Associated plane conveying the remains of former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, to Ondo State for burial crashed shortly after taking off Lagos airport on 3 October, 2013.
The boss of MIC Funeral Services, Tunji Okusanya, and his son, Tunji Jnr., Ondo State Commissioner for Tourism, Deji Falae, and 12 others died in the crash.
However, the late Agagu's son, Feyi, who survived the crash, was flown abroad for further medical attention.
Already, families of the crash victims have gone to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, to collect the bodies of their loved ones for burial.
Though LASUTH officials refused to speak with newsmen on the DNA tests, a highly placed source in the hospital said the DNA test results for 12 bodies were now ready for collection as the sample provided by their relations fully matched those of the burnt bodies.
Families of the victims were seen filling forms and perfecting the processes for the release the bodies of their loved ones to them.
The operator of Taiwo Ogunsola Service, TOS Funeral, Mrs Taiwo Ogunshola, confirmed that the DNA results were ready, saying that TOS was still working on the bodies to ensure proper hand over to the affected families.
"You can come back in the next few hours, they will release your relative's bodies to you, I can assure you.
You can call me, the person in charge is my son. I will tell him to release the bodies. We only have to prepare the bodies for collection," she told families of the victims.
The State's Chief Pathologist, Professor John Obafunwa also confirmed that the results of the DNA tests were ready for collection.
Lagos State Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr Wale Ahmed had said that the results of the DNA test would "be ready by weekend and that is when the relatives can come for the bodies.
If there is any family that has brought an ambulance to the morgue, such a family might have done so in anticipation of the release of the body of their loved one."

MeeT Marvel Newest Hero: Marvel Creates New Muslim Woman Superhero!

Marvel Comics is bringing Ms. Marvel back as a 16-year-old daughter of Pakistani immigrants living in Jersey City named Kamala Khan.
Teenage Ms Marvel will deal with adolescence, religion and superpowers
The character - among the first to be a series protagonist who is both a woman and Muslim - is part of Marvel Entertainment's efforts to reflect a growing diversity among its readers while keeping ahold of the contemporary relevance that have underlined its foundation since the creation of Spider-Man and the X-Men in the early 1960s.
Writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona, working with editor Sana Amanat, say the series reflects Khan's vibrant but kinetic world, learning to deal with superpowers, family expectations and adolescence.
Amanat calls the series a "desire to explore the Muslim-American diaspora from an authentic perspective" and what it means to be young and lost amid expectations by others while also telling the story of a teenager coming to grips with having amazing powers.
"I wanted Ms. Marvel to be true-to-life, something real people could relate to, particularly young women.
High school was a very vivid time in my life, so I drew heavily on those experiences - impending adulthood, dealing with school, emotionally charged friendships that are such a huge part of being a teenager," said Willow, whose previous comics work includes Vertigo's "Cairo" and the series "Air."
"It's for all the geek girls out there and everybody else who's ever looked at life from the fringe."
She can grow and shrink her limbs and her body and, Willow said, ultimately, she'll be able to shape shift into other forms.
The idea came after a discussion with senior editor Stephen Wacker as they compared stories about growing up.
From there it germinated into a "character for all those little girls who are growing up now the way you are growing up," she recalled.
Wilson was brought on board to write the series and the team quickly got approval from Marvel's creative committee to move forward.
DC Comics last fall relaunched its "Green Lantern" series with Simon Baz, an Arab American and Muslim.
The character reflects writer Geoff Johns' Lebanese ancestry and his upbringing in the Detroit area.
There have been a few others: Marvel Comics has Dust, a young Afghan woman whose mutant ability to manipulate sand and dust has been part of the popular X-Men books. DC Comics in late 2010 introduced Nightrunner, a young Muslim hero of Algerian descent reared in Paris.
The creative team said that Khan's backstory, growing up Muslim, is an element of the story, but not the critical foundation, either.
"Kamala is not unlike Peter Parker," said Marvel Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso of the teenager turned wall crawler.
"She's a 16-year-old girl from the suburbs who is trying to figure out who she is and trying to forge an identity when she suddenly bestows great power and learns the great responsibility that comes with it."

The woman, was at a cemetery in the suburb of Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Sao Paulo, was reportedly going to visit a family tomb when she experienced this scary phenomenon as the man was trying to emerge from the grave and was waving his arms around.
She describes the experience:
'I was terrified to see a man, who I thought was dead, trying to get out of the grave.'
'He had his head and hands out and was moving his arms around, trying to get out.'
The woman first ran away screaming, but returned and called the emergency services, who found the man half buried in a plot of earth.
She also revealed that when she called the police, they thought she was joking at first.
The man, who was described as wearing a grey jumper and with the bottom half of his body almost completely buried by soil, was later rescued after the woman convinced the cemetery officials to talk to the police
The man is now recuperating in the local hospital in Ferraz de Vasconcelos. A hospital source said he is 'coming back to life'. He will also be subjected to psychological tests.
Police believe the man, said to be a former city hall worker, was involved in a fight in another part of the city, where he was badly beaten by his attackers until he passed out and was taken to the cemetery by his assailants.
It is believed they then threw him into a empty grave which was partly filled with earth.

ASUU STRIKE: FG, ASUU To Meet Again Next Week!

Academic Staff Union of Universities met across the country on Thursday to consider the offer by the Federal Government.
The ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Faggae after a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan which ended in the early hours of Tuesday had told reporters that the union would take back an undisclosed message to their members.
The PUNCH gathered that the striking public universities lecturers met in the nine zones of ASUU with branch chairmen to discuss the outcome of the meeting with the President.
The meetings presided over by zonal coordinators afforded them (zonal coordinators) the opportunity to brief the branch chairmen about the offer made by the Federal Government to revamp the public universities across the country.
The Federal Government had at the last Tuesday marathon meeting agreed to inject N1.1tn into the universities over the next five years. The money, the Federal Government promised, would be released at the rate of N220bn annually starting from 2014.
The Ibadan zone of ASUU held its meeting at the Federal University Abeokuta on Thursday while that of the North Central Zone took place at the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State.
Sources at both meetings said that though the union officials were not happy that the N400bn per year they asked for was not granted, they were however happy at the sincerity of purpose displayed by President Jonathan.
Though they expressed varied opinion about the offer, they were unanimous in commending Jonathan for being the first Nigerian leader to meet with the union.
When contacted, the Coordinator of the North Central Zone, Dr. Suleiman Mohammad declined comments on the meeting.
Mohammed, who said he was attending to some pressing issues, said only the ASUU President could speak on the issue.
But feelers across the zones, however, suggested that the lecturers might have accepted the offer of the government.
Although branch chairmen still have to call congresses, it was gathered that the union may have made up its mind to call off the strike after meeting with the Federal Government again next week.
A top official of the union said "We are happy with the humility shown by Jonathan to personally meet with us. This is the first time a sitting President will meet with the union to thrash out issues. Members were impressed with him and the strong commitment that he displayed. But some expressed fear that the new deal could go the way of past agreements that were not honoured.

Police Arrest Bank Workers For $2m Fraud!

Three employees of Zenith Bank Plc national headquarters, Ajose Adeogun street, Victoria Island, Lagos State, have been arrested by the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Lagos for their alleged involvement in a $2m fraud.
Police sources told PUNCH Metro that a senior official of the bank, Ms. Olubukola Oritogun, and two others allegedly defrauded unsuspecting customers of the said sum. A fourth yet-to-be identifed person is said to be on the run.
PUNCH Metro gathered that Oritogun and her accomplices were allegedly in the habit of informing wealthy customers who wanted to buy dollars that there was a dollar account in the bank that they could purchase them from.
The source, who requested anonymity said, "Oritogun would inform some persons that if they wanted to buy dollars, it was available in the bank. She would make the account details available to the customer. Unknown to the victim, the dollar account is owned by another customer of the bank.
"The victim would then ask his own contact in the bank to check the account. Once it has been confirmed that the account indeed has a certain amount of dollars, the victim would then transfer the naira equivalent of what he wanted to buy to Oritogun in exchange for the dollars."
She was said to have defrauded several persons in that manner until a complaint was lodged at SARS.
PUNCH Metro gathered that on the day of Oritogun's arrest, she had already booked a flight to the United States and was preparing to flee the country.
It was learnt that the police had recovered N166m of the stolen funds.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, said she would call our correspondent back whe she was contacted.
The bank's spokesperson, Mr. Victor Adoji, when contacted, said, "We actually detected the fraud first. We subsequently made a report to the Special Fraud Unit and they have started investigation. Some of our employees were arrested in connection with the case.
"As of now, we have feedback as regards the current state of investigation."

N5.6bn Scam: Retirees Besiege Court As EFCC Arraigns Fraudsters!!

Hundreds of Oyo State local government retirees trooped to the state High Court on Thursday as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned a former Head of Service in the state, Iyabo Adeleke, and 11 other suspected accomplices over the N5.6bn local government pension fund scam.
The retirees, who arrived at the court by 8am, displayed placards and cried out for justice. They claimed that their gratuities had not been paid, while the state government also owed them eight month pension allowance.
One of the retirees, Comfort Obani, told newsmen that her standard of living had dropped because of the government's inability to pay her pension and gratuity since 2010.
"I retired as head teacher at St. Michael's Primary School Agodi, Ibadan. I have not been paid my gratuity since 2010 when I disengaged from government's service and there is a backlog of eight months pension that have yet to be paid. What we are expecting now is the pension for March.
"We are suffering because some people embezzled our pension fund. Only a wicked person will do that. We laboured for 35 years but some people took what belongs to us," she said.
Sheu Yusuf retired from Are-Ago Primary School in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area in 2010. He said he had to wait for 20 months before his name was enlisted in the pension's office.
"I waited for 20 months before I was included in the pension's pay roll. I am now being owed eight months. We were told that some people embezzled the pension fund and we are happy that they were arrested and are being prosecuted by EFCC," he said.
Yusuf urged the state government not to wait until the suspects paid back what they allegedly stole before paying retirees what they deserve.
"We know that the government may not be able to take back all the money from them and that is why we are begging Governor Abiola Ajimobi to help us find another means of paying retirees' pension and gratuity. A lot of us are sick and live on medication. Without money to take care of our health, we will die," he said.
Meanwhile, the HOS and the other suspects -Muili Aderemi, Iyabo Giwa, Adesina Ayoade, Banji Oguntayo, Adebiyi Olasumbo, Muili Adedamola, Adeduntan Johnson, Johnson Bosede, Kareem Rasheed, Olujimi Adebayo and Adewale Kehinde -were arraigned on 213 counts of conspiracy to obtain money by false pretence, forgery and stealing of pension fund.

ASUU Under Pressure To End Strike

Following last Monday's meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and the Academic Union of Universities (ASUU), the latter has come under mounting pressure to call off its four-month-old strike.
The federal government had promised to inject N1.1 trillion into public varsities in the next five years.
A zonal chairman of the union who spoke on condition of anonymity said the union has come under pressure to end the strike. He said some of the zonal chairmen feel the union would lose public sympathy if the strike is not called off after the offer by President Jonathan.
He said,"Most of our members don't trust the government. They don't want any more promises. Though the president has given his word, our members are waiting to see the money released. Though somebody had deliberately leaked to the media that the government will give N1.1 trillion to ASUU and this has put more pressure on the union, but also remember that the 2009 agreement is for N1.3 trillion."
Meanwhile, parents and students who spoke to journalist said they expect ASUU to call of the strike following the meeting with President Jonathan.
Mrs Evelyn Isuku, an Abuja resident said, "I expect ASUU to call off the strike before the end of the week. At least the government has promised to heed to their demands. What else are they waiting for?"
Another resident, Okoye, said, "Our children have been at home for too long. If ASUU won't listen to the president, then I don't know who else will help to resolve the issue".
Members of the ASUU staged a walkout in July over claims that the government had failed to implement a 2009 agreement to improve their welfare and upgrade facilities on state-run campuses.

How I Caught Two Actresses Having Sex - Yoruba Actress Exposes Lesbianism In The Industry!!

In a recent interview, Yoruba actress, Bose Arowosegbe reveals the marriage issues that Nollywood is facing and why, in her opinion, some of them would rather be with married men.
She also talks about her experience in witnessing two actresses having sex.
See her response:
On her challenges in the industry:
The biggest challenge is patience, having to wait for your own time. Then there is the issue of seniority when some people older than you in the industry expect you to accord them some docile kind of respect, like, not addressing them on a first name basis. These people expect you to call them "aunties" even when you are older than them in real age.
On how acting has affected her marriage:
Even though marriage hasn't prevented me from acting, it has definitely prevented me from taking up certain roles in my films. Even when I shot my 4th production "Akoda Oro" my husband was on set with me. I just delivered my baby then.
Marriage has limited what role I can play again in films. I cannot take part in a sex scene, real or unreal, either in my production or other productions. And nothing can make me go totally nude but I can wear seductive dresses because when I am with my husband I still wear them. I can never go nude or play sex scene but I can be seductive. Before I was married, I wear seductive dresses anywhere but now I only wear them when I am with my husband.
On Lesbianism:
I have heard about it and I have seen one with my own very eyes.
It happened when two friends came to visit, then three of us had to share a bed. As we were on the bed with my back turned to the other two, I felt some movements and I turned, alas, the two other girls were at it, doing it. I was simply aghast and dumbfounded. I watched them transfixed for about two minutes and then gave one of them a slap. She looked at me and asked if she had touched me or what. I was so mad that I started shouting at them.
The other one was just laying down while the one I slapped was working on her. she said she didn't know and thought I was also part of it but I shouted 'God forbid'. She then started crying and I told her to desist from associating with the other girl again.
On marriage to married men:
I am married to a married man too. I have not told anyone this before. Other journalists I have met were fed the story that my husband is abroad when he has always been in the country.
Most single men out there are not matured enough to handle the fact that actresses are normal women. They believe we are harlots to be used and dumped. I believe they are too immature to handle the life around us. They are easily affected by things they read and hear about us, and also things they see on screen about us.
But married men are matured to handle all this. They listen to us instead of listening to gist about us. They seem to understand women better. Besides, they are more caring, gentler and wiser.

The Police in Ondo State say the bags snatched by a gang of robbers from an Ecobank van on Wednesday contained processed bank vouchers and not cash as thought by the robbers.
The robbery, which occurred about 2pm on Wednesday, sent shivers across other banks, whose workers immediately locked their doors against customers fearing possible attacks by the robbers.

"How I Sold Pasuma’s Range Rover Sport For N950,000" - Armed Robbery Gang Leader

Kasali Adegoke, the leader of the armed robbery gang that robbed popular fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi aka Pasuma, of his 2006 Range Rover Sport, says he sold the vehicle for N950,000.
A search on the Internet by our correspondent, however, suggested that used version of the vehicle sells for N3.5m, while a new one costs between N8m and N9m.
The 32-year-old, who is currently in detention at the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ogun State, said he sold the car to a receiver at Cotonou.
He said, "I have a receiver at Cotonou who usually calls to place orders for any type of vehicle that he wants. Before we stole Pasuma's car, my buyer had already told me that he wanted a Range Rover Sport. We were just on the lookout for possible victims when we noticed Pasuma's car."
Although based in Ogun State, Adegoke said he usually comes to Lagos to steal choice vehicles.
On the night Pasuma was robbed, Adegoke said he was merely roaming the Ahamddiya area of Lagos along with some members of his gang when the musician was sighted.
PUNCH Metro had on May 29 2013, reported that a nine-man gang attacked the fuji artiste around 9pm, while he was on his way to a show.
Pasuma, who was dispossessed of other valuables in addition to his car, was said to have hidden his face from the robbers while the ordeal lasted. He was dumped in a bush near Ota, Ogun State after being stripped down to his underwear.
Adegoke said, "While he was with us, we had no idea that he was Pasuma. We did not recognise him. It was the next day that we realised that it was Pasuma car we snatched the previous night when the news was all over town.
"By that time, the car was already in Cotonou. We drove it that same night to a border town in Ogun State where one of the receiver's boys was waiting to drive it back to Cotonu. We were paid N950,000."
Despite a deformed left hand, Adegoke confessed to having killed over seven policemen during his six-year career as a robber.
The police added that his eight man gang had killed over 20 people.
"I was badly burned as a baby; I was just 13 days old when someone threw a burning material through the window on my bed. By the time I was rescued, the left side of my face and my left hand were badly burned.
"Despite the handicap, I was able to master the art of shooting with an assault rifle. I would rest the gun on the ground while I loaded it and would support it with my deformed hand while I shot," he said.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police Mr. IKemefuna Okoye, had last Monday, paraded Adegoke along with three other suspects in Abeokuta.
Led by the SARS Officer-in-Charge, Mohammed Tijani, Adegoke was reportedly arrested in the Obele area, a border town between Nigeria and Benin Republic. He was said to have been critically injured in a shoot out with the police.
Adegoke reportedly led the SARS team to arrest other members of his gang at their hideout in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos State.
Okoye had said that the gang members had confessed to killing the former South West Coordinator and Ogun State Commander of the Vehicle Inspection Officer, Mr. Yomi Bamgbose, in 2011, as well as the killing of five policemen attached to the Quick Response Squad at the Ijemo Agbadu and Mowe/Ibafo areas one year ago.
The gang was also said to have allegedly killed about 11 policemen in Kwara and Lagos states and were responsible for the death of five policemen in the Imeko area of Ogun State, in a bullion van attack in September 2011.
They were also said to be responsible for the killing of four members of the Ogun State Vigilance Service and three filling station attendants in Ifo last June.

MAVIN Records Releases Official Statement On Wande Coal's Exit

MAVIN records has released an official statement in regards to Wande Coal's exit from the label.

Read statement below:

An official statement from Mavin Records regarding Wande Coal's exit from the label...
It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.
Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. Wande's vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.
Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release 'Baby Face' purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry.
We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.
