They have also told him to immediately vacate Bisi's apartment and leave all her properties including her Honda Pilot Jeep. They even said his fainting and wailing at Bisi's burial were all staged. Girl Gang Raped To A Coma In Delta State

Those animals should be tied onto a car and dragged through the city of Warri. And what's this craze of even recording rape that is going on these days. A lady believed to be in her early twenties has been raped to an unconscious state by four men around Cemetery road, Warri, Delta state. The victim, who is now receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital, was said to have boarded a taxi cab with four male passengers from Odion Road to her residence in Aguowe Street, Off Mac Demot Road.

Daily Sun gathered that the driver suddenly took a different direction towards Cemetery Road to the chagrin of the victim. It was further learnt that the victim challenged the driver of the taxi but the other passengers drew a dagger and threatened to kill her if she raised any alarm.

They, thereafter, drove down to a storey building on the Cemetery Road where the miscreants had a field day raping the victim until she became unconscious.

However, luck ran out on them as the matter was reported to the Quick Response Squad of the Delta State Police Command in Warri, who swung into action and arrested one Akpofure, Seih and Obrakpo all of Nos. 24, 64 and 66, Cemetery Road, Warri. Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Famous Ajieh, who confirmed the arrests in Asaba yesterday, stated that the police were currently on the trail of the fourth suspect, one Ebeme.

Ajieh said the arrested suspects had confessed to the crime, adding that one Black Berry phone used by the suspects in recording the rape action was recovered. Ajieh informed that the command also had in its custody three suspected murderers and kidnappers including Ikwueke, Uwaguna and Evjouke. He said the gang members were arrested for allegedly killing one Emmanuel Chukwunolu, who refused to be kidnapped on December 23, 2012 at Ebeneku in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state.

The police spokesman added that investigation into the matter was on with a view to arresting other members of the kidnap syndicate.

28 Year Old Man Kills 8Year Old Girl Over 800 Naira Debt

A 28-year-old man, who claimed to be a naval rating, Mr. Ikechi Okoro, is now on the run after allegedly killing Chidera Timothy with a bottle over an N800 debt his brother owes thegirl’s mother.

Twelve-year-old Chidera was a primary five pupil of the Holy Trinity Anglican Primary School in Calabar, Cross River State.

Ikechi’s younger brother, Friday Okoro, has been arrested by policemen from Atakpa PoliceStation in Calabar where the matter was reported.
Following the arrest, the members of the Okoro family residing at 34, Wilkie Street, have taken to their heels.

Narrating the incident to PUNCH Metro on Saturday, the girl’s father, Timothy, said Ikechi’s brother, Mr. Orieke Okoro, who repairstricycle, had refused to pay his wife, Mercy, the sum of N800 that he owed her for several months.

Timothy said Orieke was a regular customer athis wife’s restaurant and beverage shop and at times bought things on credit.

After Orieke’s debt rose to N800, it was learnt that he stopped patronising the restauranteur.

Timothy said, “The debt rose to N800 and has remained so for two months. Whenever my wife asks him about the debt, he would claim he does not have money. When my wife discovered that he no longer patronised her but rather bought things from a nearby shop and still paid cash, she threatened to seize his tools.

“On Monday, December 17, 2012, my wife went to him to collect her money but the boy said he did not have money, my wife then picked his tools and the boy did not react.”

Trouble, however, started, when Ikechi took over the matter when his brother’s customer, who brought his tricycle for repairs, claimed that one of his spare parts was missing.

Timothy explained further, “Ikechi came with the customer to my wife’s shop to look for the spare part in the toolbox, but because my wife didn’t know them, she refused to release the box. She insisted that they ought to have come with Orieke and her N800 before she would release the toolbox.

“Then the fake naval man started insulting my wife and threatened to beat her up if she did not release the toolbox. He said the worst that could happen was for the police to arresthim. As he struggled to enter the shop to collect the toolbox, my wife blocked him and in the process, he slapped her and she held his shirt.

“As the trouble was going on, my son, Chukwuemeka, who had returned from where he went to fetch water tried to ask why the man slapped his mother then Ikechi allegedly ran to their house and collected a machete andreturned with his younger brother and the elder sister.

“Three of them beat up my son and my wife. Friday used the machete on my son and gave him a cut on the left hand while the sister hit my wife with a wood she was holding.”

He said that as the trouble was going on, Chidera rushed to call him (Timothy) from where he was working close by.

He added that when he got to his wife’s shop, he saw Ikechi with an empty bottle threatening to kill someone with it.

Timothy said, “As I was trying to find out whathappened and to calm him down, he struggled and freed himself from the people holding him and said that he was going to kill somebody. Hesaid as a naval man he could do whatever he wished.

“He threw the bottle at my son but he dodged it. However, the bottle hit my daughter on the head.
She fainted immediately. I rushed her to MamboClinic which was the nearest clinic for treatment. She was there till December 23 when she died.”

He said although he reported the matter at the police station, no arrest was made until he went back to the police station after his daughter had died.

Friday, who allegedly injured Chukwuemeka with a machete, according to him, was arrested.

Chidera’s corpse, he said, was deposited at a mortuary on Edgerley Street in Calabar South.
When contacted, the state police Public Relations Officer, Mr. John Umoh, confirmed the incident, saying the matter would be properly investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department.

Also, the Information Officer of the Eastern Naval Command, Lt.Commodore Williams Olabisi, said
the alleged assailant who claimed to be a navalman might have been an imposter.

“If any of our officials commit offence of that magnitude, there is no way I will not be aware of it,” Olabisi added.

Woman Hosts A Big Party Few Hours After Husband's Death On ChristMas Day

In an extraordinary incident, a Mahatshula woman in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe hosted a party after the death of her husband.

According to sources, the party was held on Christmas Day just a few hours after the woman’s husband died. The woman, Nomasonto Zikhali is said to have lost her husband, Khumbulani Ncube, who died on Christmas day.

Zikhali reportedly invited her friends and relatives to join her in the party. Reports say Ncube’s relatives boycotted the party as theycondemned the move with all the contempt it deserved.

“Surely, how can someone do such a thing? She should be taken for mental examination to ascertain whether all is still well in her brain. We are all in shock. We were about to join her in her mourning but we were left speechless after we heard music being played at a very high volume. I asked another neighbour to accompany me there and we found her dancing with some women and a few men,” said a sourcewho spoke on condition of anonymity.

The source said Zikhali was questioned about her seemingly uncultured behaviour by other neighbours and she sent them packing. She reportedly said life should not stop because her husband had died on Christmas Day.

“That woman is crazy. Even weddings do not goon if someone close to the groom or bride dies. This whole Christmas thing is a mockery of our values. I don’t think Jesus will be happy to see people soil the values of humanity using his name,” fumed a neighbour.

The source said Zikhali’s in-laws were gathered at their rural home and had decided not to involve her in the funeral proceedings.
“Who can blame them? I would have done the same if I were in their shoes. What she did is unheard of. Maybe she is from another planet,” said the source.

Our news crew caught up with Zikhali who by no means resembled a woman in mourning.

“Let them talk. I am living my life. So are they telling me that life should not go on after the death of my husband? They are getting it wrong. I wasn’t celebrating his death, but Christmas Day like all Christians,” said Zikhali.

The widow, who was putting on a gleeful smile during the interview further said she just wanted to relieve stress.

“I would have died of stress. A wife and husband dying on the same day, what would have that been? Perhaps good news for the media. I don’t care what they say. I know whatI was doing and I am not going to sit here and try to please some people who do not even care about my welfare,” said the woman who lost her husband last week.

Zikhali said she was unmoved by the irreparable damage between her in-laws and herself.
“No one knows what I am going through, so it will be best for me to try and alleviate my stress by doing what makes me happy,” she said.

Davido and his manager, Asa Asika have gone their separate ways. Davido, 20, fell out with Asa, 22, after about two years together. Both parties decided to call it quit over some 'unsettled differences.'

Information reveals that Davido's record label, HKN, might be responsible for the 'accelerated split' between them due to what we gathered to be connected to money-related issues between the parties.

We further learnt that the split actually happenedon Friday, December 28, 2012. It was also reportedthat HKN might have felt Davido needed a 'matured' management team to handle Davido's growing brand as against Asa's managerial powerwhich, according to HKN, is believed to be 'immature'.

The label has reportedly been sourcing for another management team for Davido with Yemi Energy likely to be Asa's successor.

Iyanya and His Manager in Police Trouble Over Opa Williams’ Show

R&B singer turned Pop act Iyanya Mbuk is allegedly wanted by the Nigerian Police in Port Harcourt, Rivers State after allegedly’ defrauding’ popular show organizer Opa Williams of N1.7m being payment for the singer’s performance at two events.

According to sources Iyanya was paid the said amount to perform at two ‘Nite of a Thousand Laughs‘ events which held in Benin and Port Harcourt. The ‘Kukere‘ singer missed both shows.

The latter which was held last night on New Year’s Day featured a performance from rapper Olamide and was hosted by Bovi. Guests had waited for the singer to step onstage and thrill as the highly publicized showhad promised a performance from him. Iyanya never showed up.

Interestingly, Iyanya is believed to have traveled on the same flight (allegedly paid for by the show organizers) with Olamide and Bovi.

Sources told NET the singer shunned Opa Williams’ event, performing instead, at another show in Omuma local government area, also in Port Harcourt which also featured Timaya.

‘We were all disappointed, we waited in vain. As soon as Bovi announced he was not going to show up, everybody started leaving‘, a guest who attended the event held at the open ground of the Hotel Preseidential, PH said.

Just this morning, sources say Policemen from the Nigerian Police at the Mile 3 division invited Iyanya and his manger Ubi-Franklin Ekapong to the Police station over the matter which was reported by the show organizers led by Opa Williams.

The officers could only get Ubi-Franklin to station. ‘Yes I was at the Police Station this morning, we have decided to return all moneypaid to us, it’s not a problem‘, Ubi-Franklin told NET reporters in a telephone conversation.

Ubi went on to explain what the whole brouhaha was all about:

We were paid to attend and perform at the Benin and Port Harcourt shows but we missed both due to reasons beyond our control. We missed the Benin gig because we were in Ghana as at that time and we arrived pretty late for the PH gig. We however had issues with initial payment fromthe show organizers also…

Mario Balotelli Is Glad That I’m Dating His Sister – Martins

It is no longer news that Nigeria’s weapon of mass destruction, Obafemi Martins, is dating Abigail Barwuah, Mario Balotelli’s elder sister – what is news however is the speculation that theManchester City ‘bad boy’ is unhappy about the pair dating.

However, Martins, who once played with Balotelli at Inter’s youth team in Milan, Italy, has dismissed such insinuations with a wave of the hand.

“Mario is my boy”, he started. “The respect is there because I used to play at Inter, in the youth team with him. He’s giving me my respect and I’m doing same. People are putting it in the news that he’s upset, of course he’s glad.

“He’s glad that Obafemi Martins is dating his sister. But if he gets jealous then it means he doesn’t want his sister to grow. But it’s not like that. The boy is not a bad boy” Martins insisted.
He also disclosed that for now, marraige is not onthe cards as he and Abigail haven’t discussed it.

“The relationship is true but getting married or not, we haven’t discussed anything like that. She’s upstairs and we’re happy together” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the love between the pair is rather coming as a surprise to close watchers as Abigail, 24, had earlier in the year, granted an interview to a tabloid, The Sun, where she claimedthat she couldn’t date a footballer and even claims her brother wouldn’t allow it: “Mario wouldn’t let me anyway. He knows only too well what they are like. They are surrounded by women. Girls throw themselves at them.”
