West Brom Place £4m Tag On Osaze

West Brom are insisting on selling Osaze Odemwingie for £4m despite several offers from Premier League clubs.

The 32-year-old wants to secure a move away from The Hawthorns before Monday night’s transfer deadline after a miserable year in the Midlands.
But although up to six clubs are now expressing an interest in the Nigeria international – with at least three of them making bids – Albion’s asking price could still take the saga down to the wire.
They are believed to want as much as £4m for the out-of-favour forward with Swansea, Stoke and Cardiff already lodging bids worth around £2m and Fulham, West Ham and Crystal Palace among the sides to have registered an interest.
Hawthorns head coach Steve Clarke, who has not included Odemwingie in the first-team squad since the start of pre-season, is desperate for new faces before the transfer window shuts.
But he will also be anxious for Odemwingie’s departure to be sealed to avoid the unwanted problem of reintegrating the former fans’ favourite back into the first-team frame.
Odemwingie is still believed to favour joining Swansea, who can offer Europa League football, but he is open to a move elsewhere.
