U.S. rapper Gucci Mane jailed for alleged assault
Rapper Gucci Mane was jailed in Georgia on Wednesday for allegedly hitting a fan in the head with a champagne bottle at an Atlanta nightclub earlier this month.
Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, turned himself in to authorities late on Tuesday, according to Fulton County Sheriff's Office records.
Mane, 33, faces an aggravated assault charge after causing a "severe laceration" to the man whom he hit with a champagne bottle on March 16, according to a police report. The fan had approached Mane and tried to strike up a conversation, police said. Mane left the nightclub before police arrived.
A magistrate judge denied bond for Mane at his first court appearance on Wednesday, sheriff's spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.
Mane did not enter a plea. His next hearing will be on April 10, Flanagan said.
Mane's attorney, Drew Findling, told Reuters he would appeal the denial of bond to a higher court. He said six witnesses interviewed by his office about what he described as a melee at the club did not pin blame on the rapper.
"None of them said Gucci had anything to do with it," Findling said.
The incident is the latest in a long string of legal troubles for the rapper, who has appeared in remixes with the Black Eyed Peas and Usher.
In 2001, Mane was arrested for cocaine possession and spent 90 days in jail. He served a six-month prison term in 2005 for assault, and in 2009 was imprisoned for a year for violating probation in that case.
A Georgia judge sentenced Mane to six months in jail in 2011 after he admitted to pushing a woman out of his car.

WICKED: Mom Gets 30 Years Jail For Starving Kids To Death
A 25-year-old mother whose two young children starved to death surrounded by rubbish after she locked them in her apartment has been sentenced to 30 years in jail in Japan.
Single mother Sanae Nakamura regularly left her daughter, 3, and one-year-old son, in the apartment in western Osaka while she spent the night at her boyfriend's house, reports said.
She had begin leaving them alone in March 2010, the Asahi Shimbun said, adding that sometime in early June that year she stopped coming home.
But when she did eventually return later that month the two tots were dead, the paper said.
Nakamura was convicted of murder by Japan's lower courts and sentenced to 30 years at earlier hearings, which found she had known that leaving the children without sufficient food would kill them.
The country's supreme court on Monday upheld the sentence, local news sites reported on Wednesday.

57 year Old Man Arrested For Defling An 8 Year Old Girl!!
The police in the Nigerian city of Benin, Edo State, have arrested a
57-year-old man, Raphael Omada, for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old
girl.
Omada who was paraded weekend before journalists at the State police Command headquarters, confessed to the crime, adding that it was the first time he did so.
The offence was allegedly committed about two weeks ago at Owan town, in Owan West Local Government Area of the State where the father of six children of ages 18 to 30 lives with his family.
Mr. Omada who hails from Nsukka, Enugu State, said on the fateful day, he capitalised on the absence of his wife and children, who were away in the farm, and lured the girl into his bedroom.
He claimed he inserted his middle finger into her private part.
He however denied Being Intimate with her.
According to the suspect, the bubble burst when the elder brother of the girl who noticed that she was moving with pain and difficulty, reported to their mother who eventually obtained confession from the girl. He said the alarm raised by the mother attracted neighbours who arrested and handed him over to the police.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Foluso Adebanjo, said the suspect would be charged to court for child molestation and abuse as soon as investigations are concluded.

Boy Beats GirlFriend To Death!!
This is certainly not the best of times for the Bournes’ family which is currently mourning following the alleged killing of Olayinde Bournes’, by her boyfriend,last Thursday, in Aguda Ogba area of Lagos.
The deceased, a 22-year-old par time student of the Lagos State Polytechnic, was allegedly beaten to death by her boyfriend over an unknown reason.
Crime Guard gathered that the 200 level Business Administration student had gone to bid her boyfriend, Abuchi Cyril, 24, goodbye , as the latter was reportedly planning to travel to Malasia next day (Friday), unknown to her that would be her final sojourn on earth.
Although it could not be ascertained what transpired between the love birds behind closed doors but it was gathered that rather than being entertained in his parents’ apartment located on number 25 Shorimade Street, Aguda Ogba, Abuchi took Olayinde to a neighbours apartment, who at that time was away.
But apprehension, set in, after several calls on Olayinde’s phone by her father, met dead silence. Just as he reportedly stepped outside to see if his daughter was anywhere around, he met some persons in group discussing what was later discovered to be her daughter’s demise.
During a visit to the late Olayinde’s family’s house, her devastated father who offered to speak with Crime Guard said, “ I was at home around 11am that fateful day while my late daughter was outside the house with her mother, all dressed up. I later walked up to them and asked when she would be going to work. And she said she would first go to the bank to submit her account opening form which would enable her receive her monthly salary because she was just employed by Cadbury Plc. Satisfied with the answer, I went back inside to rest because I haven’t been feeling very well for some time.
“ I later learnt that she told her mother she would first go and see her boyfriend Abuchi, who called her earlier to come and see his travelling documents, as he was supposed to travel next day to Malaysia. That was the last we saw of her.
“At about 12:25pm, I dialled her number. It rang but there was no response. I called again around 12:30pm, it rang and still no response. Later, the phone was switched off. I and my wife became worried at that point because we could not say what was wrong with her.
At about 4pm, I decided to stroll round. But when I got outside, I noticed a crowd which turned towards my direction but noone spoke to me. Confused, I went inside and told my wife about what I observed.
Later I sent her to go and purchase some ingredients to prepare super. When she came back, she also told me the crowd stared at her also. Just as we were contemplating on what to do, our fears was confirmed as a young man among the crowd rushed inside and yelled ‘ it has happened o! When we demanded what the matter was, he broke the news of my daughter’s demise. At that instant, my world was shattered. He also told us the corpse was just brought to a nearby hospital. I rushed to the hospital with the hope that I would see her alive. But no, I only saw her remains.
Tell me, should I start preparing towards having another child at this age?”, he asked , trying hard not to betray his emotion.
What went wrong?
Abuchi as gathered, was arrested by policemen attached to Area ‘G’ Ogba, command, from where he was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, Yaba. In his statement to the Police, he reportedly said while he was with Olayinde, she suddenly screamed ‘my head’, before she slumped.
But findings by the police as gathered, revealed that the mattress in the room where Olayinde’s dead body was found was socked with blood. The mattress was reportedly turned upside down before the arrival of policemen. But during a search of the apartment ,blood , suspected to be from Olayinde, was discovered under the bed and later traced to the mattress turned upside down.
Another puzzle that needs to be unravelled was the report that a nurse was reportedly invited by Abuchi while he was with Olayinde. A resident who pleaded anonymity told Crime Guard that :“ We suspect there could be more to all this than meet the eyes. First, the corpse was inside the room three hours before it was taken to the hospital. Why did it take him that long to rush her to the hospital? Abuchi even called in a nurse while he was inside with Olayinde. The nurse we learnt, carried out some treatment on Olayinde. What went wrong that made him invite the nurse? She was even the one that accompanied Abuchi to the hospital where she works, with Olayinde’s body. It was when Olayinde was pronounced dead that she bolted, pretending she was going to get a taxi”, the resident said.
The nurse with an undisclosed identity was reportedly arrested by the Police and later released, an action the bereaved family queried. The deceased’s phone as gathered, was also discovered to be missing.
Police sources hinted that some finger marks were discovered on the deceased neck and her camisole stained with blood. But sources could however not state exactly what led to the death of Olayinde, until the autopsy result will be out.
A Christian wake was held at the deceased apartment, located on 17, Muibi street Aguda Ogba, Thursday, while her remains was interred Friday at Atan cemetery, Yaba..

Luck ran out on them as the trader suddenly noticed the removal of some packets from where they were displayed. The girls were beaten severely by angry market women.

PHOTOS: Tragedy As Fire Guts Down Abuja Furniture Market
Goods and properties worth hundreds of millions of naira were today
destroyed by fire at Kugbo Furniture Market in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Some eyewitnesses said that the fire started after a spark in an electrical appliances store in one of the shops.
One of the witnesses, who gave his name as Uche Okwu, said the fire started at 11.00 p.m. Wednesday night after traders had gone home. He blamed the colossal fire and its attendant destruction on the failure of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) to respond to a request by members of the Market Association to expand the market. “The loss today cannot be quantified,” said Mr. Okwu.
The fire burnt more than a hundred shops beyond recognition after raging for more than five hours before fire fighters could contain it.

Man wakes up at night, catches male friend giving him a massive bl*wjob
A Zvishavane man from Zimbabwe literally got a rude awakening when he woke up and found his friend sucking his private parts in the middle of the night, police have said.
The man, Mr Tawanda Kaitano, of House Number 1228, Highlands had offered his stranded friend, Jameson John, a place to spend the night when theincident happened.
Acting Midlands police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident, which happened last week on Thursday night.
"I can confirm that we are investigating a case of aggravated indecent assault involving two male adults, who are also friends. It is alleged that Mr Kaitano offered his friend, John a place to spend the night before he could then proceed with his journey the following morning. The suspect, John was on his way to Gweru when he met Mr Kaitano. He then asked for a place to spend the night, as it was getting dark and he had nowhere else to spend the night. Mr Kaitano agreed to help his stranded friend. He went with him to his one-roomed house. The two shared the same bed. During the night the accused woke up and started sucking Mr Kaitano's private parts," said Asst Insp Mahoko.
Police appealed to members of the public, who might have information on the whereabouts of John, to contact the nearest police station to them or use suggestion boxes.
A police officer based at Zvishavane Central Police Station said the weird incident was still the talk of the asbestos mining town.
The police officer said when Mr Kaitano woke up and discovered John sucking his manhood, he pushed him away and an argument ensued between the two friends.
"The heated argument lasted for about half an hour, as the suspect claimed that he did not know what had happened. Mr Kaitano got so angry that he wanted to assault John, but the suspect ran away. The matter was then reported to Zvishavane Central Police Station and investigations are still in progress," said the police officer.

A police constable Tinashe Munhamo (22) based at Nkayi Police Construction Section, Zimbabwe is in trouble after he allegedly assaulted his boss accusing him of having a love affair with his wife.
Munhamo, who fell ill after his arrest and was taken to Nkayi District Hospital where he is admitted, appeared before Nkayi magistrate Ndumo Masuku on Monday on his hospital bed. He was not asked to plead to assault charges.
Prosecutor Maxwell Hapanyengwi said the accused must be remanded in custody as he was facing a serious allegation. He said Munhamo had allegedly threatened to assault his boss Inspector Newyear Rera (39) again and releasing him from custody would endanger Rera's life.
Masuku remanded him in custody to February 4.
Allegations are that Munhamo accused his boss of having an affair with his wife. The court heard that on January 19 at 12 midnight, Rera left his house for the office and Munhamo allegedly waylaid him. He allegedly hit the senior police officer in the neck with an unknown object. Rera fell down and Munhamo again struck him on the leftfoot with a stone.
He allegedly threatened to stab him with a knife hewas holding. Rera, however, managed to grab his hand and sought refuge at the charge office where he made a report.
Munhamo allegedly pursued his boss and threatened to assault him further, but he was restrained by his colleagues who later detained him. Rera sustained several injuries. While in detention, Munhamo fell ill on Sunday and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Majek Fashek Runs Mad??
Veteran reggae artist, Majek Fashek is a shadow of his former self, the once handsome looking,bubbly fellow is now in a pitiable condition.
He is now mentally unstable and sources say heis already in rehab but from a recent report,the little patience crooner is not getting any better. he was spotted last Fridayat Ogba, Ikeja Lagos clutching his guitar, staggering with a cigarrette in his mouth, murmuring incoherent words.
Majek resides in Egbeda, Sewage area of Gowon Estate, and according to a neighbour, she said;
"Fashek is gone, I'm not sure any kind of rehab will bring him back. He messes up in the estate; he drinks and staggers around with crowd gathering around him. He's dried up. He has body guards and a deep blue jeep, but most times, I think he sneaks out of the house and ends up misbehaving. The first time i saw him, I thought he was a mad man. He's gone!"
The cause of majek's condition is none other than his addiction to marijuana,cocaine and alcohol (3 of the most dangerous hard drugs in the world).
Sometime in 2012, i heard he got a music deal of N15 million naira and was scheduled to release an album...no one has seen any album or heard any single but from the look of things, all did not go well.
I only pray he recovers and God help him, he quits hard drugs otherwise Nigeria might lose another musical gem.
